Welcome to the Central Manchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale...
We at Central Manchester know why #PubsMatter to us. They are a social and cultural hub in our communities. They are where we celebrate our wins and commiserate our losses. They welcome us without prejudice and provide some excellent Beers and Cider!

The Key Campaign at present is to save the Britons Protection pub in the form we know and love. It is facing the prospect of two unwelcome changes at the same time. Owners, Star Heineken (Star) want to take the pub back from the leaseholders and business partners. The other disconcerting prospect is a proposed new property development that will enclose and overshadow the BP. Our next branch meeting will be held there and Allan Hudd will tell us more.
For more information: Protect the Britons Protection.
In the meantime, please contribute to to their crowd funding initiative below. This will help defray their legal costs which have and will be incurred in their fight with Star . https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/savethebritonsprotection
