This former Whitbread pub had been closed for many years but after a major refurbishment reopened as a pub on 14th November 2019 with a restaurant on the first floor. It had been very tastefully renovated and as you enter from the corner door there is a long and impressive marble topped bar opposite. There are tables around the bar and high stools at the bar. In the area behind the bar there is more seating with quite a dark room on the right with mirrors and dark wood. There is also an extensive selection of craft beers (10 keg lines) , foreign beers, whiskies and gins.
